9th to 12th graders - For ACT/SAT
High-achieving students typically begin preparing for the ACT or SAT at the end of 9th grade and aim to achieve their target scores by the first semester of 11th grade. To support this goal, Jay’s EDU offers ACT Prep classes and ACT/[P]SAT Dual Prep courses for students from 9th to 11th grade, allowing them to prepare for both exams simultaneously. Additionally, for students who have already scored 30 or higher on the ACT, we provide the ACT Top course, specifically designed to help them achieve the highest possible scores.
Most students receive similar percentile scores on both the ACT and SAT; however, about 30% of students perform significantly better on one test over the other. This discrepancy is due to differences in test structure and individual strengths. Therefore, 9th and 10th-grade students should experience both tests before selecting the one that aligns better with their abilities and yields the best results. To facilitate this process, we offer the ACT/[P]SAT Dual Prep class, ensuring a more strategic and effective test preparation approach.

Top-tier universities, as well as most colleges, place great importance on students taking rigorous classes and achieving strong grades. Rigorous classes refer to challenging courses such as Honors or AP classes. To gain admission to competitive universities, students must take Honors and AP courses starting in 9th grade while maintaining a high GPA.
In particular, top-tier universities not only consider GPA and SAT/ACT scores but also evaluate whether students have taken rigorous classes (Honors or AP) and achieved outstanding results in those courses.
At Jay’s EDU, we offer a wide range of courses and private tutoring to help students effectively manage their GPA and excel in Honors/AP classes. If you are interested in any of our programs, feel free to contact us anytime.
